ELT Pigment Mixing System

The ELT Pigment Mixing System gives your shop a full in-house color department. You combine concentrated pigments with the base that fits the job, then weigh each part according to the online formula. This gives you more control than an ink-to-ink system because you choose both the color and the base used to build the finished ink.

Our Take:

This is the system for a shop that wants maximum mixing flexibility. Choose ELT Base for extreme low-temperature printing, or choose another approved base when the job calls for a different feel or performance. Once a color is approved, keep the formula and production notes so the next batch is easier to match.

Mixing and Printing Notes:

• Weigh every part carefully; small pigment changes can move the color
• Mix until no streaks remain, including material on the sides and bottom of the container
• Make a drawdown and test print before mixing a large batch
• When using ELT Base, start around 86 to 110 mesh and a 70 durometer squeegee
• ELT formulas may cure from 250°F to 320°F, depending on the fabric and ink film
