BBC Flash-Amatic automates the movement and timing of a compatible flash dryer. It helps manual and semi-automatic press operators place the heater over the platen for a repeatable interval, then moves it clear for the next print stroke.

The main advantage is consistency: the same garment receives the same flash position and dwell instead of depending on how quickly an operator swings the dryer by hand.
